our trip to California

This trip was a very full and busy schedule this time. We flew into San Diego on Saturday, where my mom picked us up and we headed straight for cousin Evan's birthday party at the petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano. That was such a blast! I had forgotten my camara in the car... bummer... but after the party we headed to Aunt Tonya's house where we got ready to go to the beach. It was a very busy day at the beach, so we waited til about 430 to head over so we could actually find a parking spot. We hiked down to the beach, brought dinner with us, and the kids played and played. Lexee was so funny, cause everything she does, she does it in a dainty way. She stayed so clean while shoveling sand into the bucket (which she figured out by herself... I thought that was funny).

Then we took her down to test out the water...
She LOVED it!

She kept walking further and further out! And she danced and jumped in the waves. It was so much fun!

But the day had to come to an end! It was 730 and we headed back for Aunt Tonya's get change and get back in the van to head home! Lexee was pooped out that night!

Sunday we went to church, then a farewell party for our good family friends the Haldemans! They are part of the original Alta Murrieta ward we were in for 13 years. They are the best!! We are SOOO sad they moved to Utah... but we wish you the best! There were SOOO many old timers there too... it was a GREAT party. I hadn't seen a lot of those people that were big part of my growing up years, for so long! I was so glad I got to be there! And this is a picture of the old primary presidency... They were the best! I wish I had the picture Kim had at the party of them back in the day so I could do a now and then picture... but anyway...

After the party we headed for Grandma and Grandpa B's cause otherwise I wouldn't have seen my Grandpa this trip! He is definitely a favorite man in my life!! He is amazing! (And he gave me the best surprise ever and showed up for Lexee's birthday party... what a guy!!) Love you grandpa! We hung out there til it was time for bed! So Monday My mom, Shell, me and the kids headed out to pick up Grandma B on our way to SEA WORLD once again!! :) can't get enough... but on our way out to the van we smell smoke, look to our left, and there it was. You walk across the street from my parents house to these hills.... my dad takes the dogs walking in there all the time. Anyway, don't know what set it off, but it burned quite a bit of land. and the wind kept blowing it along. The fire department was right on it, and got it under control real quick. But before we headed out we had to stop and look and of course.. take pictures. That's the first time I've seen an up close bush fire. This hill has been burned a couple times before, but I never ended up seeing the flames like I did this time.

So we get to Sea World and head straight for the roller coaster! We never get to go cause it's usually freezing, and you definitely get wet no matter where you sit. Trever was tall enough this time and was so excited to go on his very 1st rollercoaster ride. He was a champ.

I wasn't a very good picture taker this day, but we did do lots of things, including the NEW BLUE HORIZONS dolphin show! And we finally got to see the Shamu night show!! Summers are good and bad!! Longer hours.. YAY.. so more night shows, but long lines, waiting to get into the shows! And they get filled up quick, so we you gotta be in line like an hour ahead to get a good seat. Before the Shamu show started, they had 2 whales out there for some pre show entertainment... it was like watching them be on a date or something! haha.. it looked like they were at a drive in our something....

And then they looked like they were kissing...

and they were right in front of us doing this for at least 10 mins!

I've never seen whales do that. So that ended our Monday evening.

Then Tuesday, my mom, me, Garrett and Lexee met up with cousin Michelle and her kiddos for another day of sea world!! We got to go see the Cirque de del Mar... which was fabulous! And Blue Horizons again... and of course the shamu show, and this time the night time sea lion show... Biff here is the pre show entertainment (also in the show too) and he is the BEST!! So funny! Then it was Wednesday, a day of laundry, clean up, and packing up. It was a very busy day... my mom was taking us home, and when she gets back from visiting, it's straight to Utah, and then school starts up! So she was a busy woman! Then Thursday came, and we went to Trever's Monster truck birthday party! I couldn't believe he turned 4!! Holy smokes! What a big boy he is now! My memory card was full so I didn't get to take any pictures of that either... but my sister did a WONDERFUL job as usually, decorating and throwing the best monster truck party ever! And right after the party, we headed for Arizona! So there was our trip! Crazy busy!
