So I've always done pretty well to avoid emergency rooms. I've gotten stitches twice before but i don't remember any of it really. So I consider this my 1st experience. Sitting and waiting, and then waiting some more, and then just a little more... haha... but backing up a little bit, I had some bloody mucous down there yesterday and a constant pressure in my uterus all day. Well it wasn't too bad cause I still did a massage and unpacked some clothes and went to my Mom-in-laws house cause I was going with her to her doctor to get a cyst cut out. Well she noticed I was walking funny and I told about the pressure so she had me call my OB. So I left a message, cause they were unavailable, but while we sat and waited for my mom's name to be called, the pressure got really bad. There was no standing up straight for sure this time. I just figured it would go away and my mom could get little operation done. Well she wouldn't stand for it and rescheduled her appt. My OB called back and sent me to the Emergency Room. So off we went. 4:00 at that point. Cody came as soon as he looked as his phone (his was a practice) and we all (Wendi, Cody, and myself) just had a party in the ER. Lucky Wendi happens to know EVERYONE and is randomly related to some so we got bumped up a in line a little bit. Sweet! ... well I got my first gown and laid in my first hospital bed, got my first IV and catheter (ick), and we also got a fun surprise. We got an ultrasound and baby was very couperative today so the nice lady (Pam) helped us to know that
we are having a little GIRL!!! Knowing that made the whole experience well worth it! Usually I would be so bugged if I waited all that time to find out nothing was wrong. But hey, at least I know we are both ok and our little girl is still growing and healthy. She now weighs 13 oz... but anyhow, we ended getting released around 11pm... and that was my first fun experience in the ER... :) Oh and my diagnoses is that I was extra dehydrated, cause my lips have been beyond help in the chapped department for the past week, and I woke up this morning and didn't even need to put on chapstick. SO that's what I think all the fuss was about!

Yay! A girl! And I hate to break it to you but you will be having plenty more trips to the ER after that little one comes out: sticthes, broken bones, high fevers in the middle of the night, etc. LOL. Welcome to motherhood!
Congrats. That is so awesome. You'll be a great mom for a little girl.
How scary! Yay for girls! I am so excited for you. You look so cute in your pics!
I am glad to see everything was ok! I had to go to the ER when I was like 23 weeks or something, but I love the ER's out here cuz you get right in! Whereas in cali and AZ the wait is super long! Yay for a little girl. It's so fun shopping for a girl. BTW Shell and the baby look great! I can't wait till we meet our little one. Next time you are in Utah you should call me. I saw you were out here during Christmas and I wish we had gotten together. Anywho...TTYL
