The VCUG Test

The poor girl didn't know what was coming! But here she is so happy!

  She noticed her anklet...

 So Mema tried to distract her

 She took her for a little walk down the hall...

 and back

We got to the room and had to distract her some more... for about an hour.

 We tried bubbles

and juice, books, movies, and music

 

That last picture is after all the struggle of getting the cath in. It took them a couple trys. It was horrible. The test itself was no fun either. That took an hour itself, cause they have to fill up her bladder all the way... and we had to keep her calm or she would just pee it out, and we would have to do it all over again! She finally fell asleep after fighting us for about 45 mins. It was a breeze from there out. I was so glad Mema got to come with us! I think I would have lost it! THANKS MEMA!

And for whoever is wondering what the test is.. it's a test to see if your bladder is having refluxes back up to your kidneys. This is when she had her urinary tract infection. They wanted to make sure it wasn't going to become a kidney infection as well. All turned out good. So we were happy to hear that.
