So, Friday night we were at Wendi and Herb's house saying good-bye to Jacque and Curt before they took off back to Utah. Lexee was just playing and having fun but was getting to that whinny hungry stage, so I started to feed her, when about 5 mins into it, I felt something warm all over my side and looked to see my little baby loose absolutely everything that was inside of her. I was completely drenched in barf and ran to the bathroom to get in the tub in case there was possibly anymore. Poor girl kept dry heaving and just had those spit balls come up. So me and Lexee took a bath, and I was thinking maybe that was it... oh but it wasn't. The dry heaving barf kept coming and eventually became the yellow bile. She got so pale and limp, with some blueish lips at points. That was so horrible. She was so weak, and I was trying to get her barf in a bowl, that was fun... I was so nervous, especially because of the recent event with Ty, the emotions are still so close to the surface. And another panic would run through my mind... thanks to the stupid saying of it comes in 3's (referring to funerals), with my great Grandpa, then Ty, I had those horrible thoughts that we were going to be 3. Grandpa Herb, uncle Curt and Cody gave her a blessing before we took off to the Urgent care, which submersed my fears, until we got to the urgent care. I was pretty much in hysterics when we got there, Thanks to Grandma Wendi who was my voice. That urgent care closed at 11 and we got there at 10:30... so lucky for us, No one was in the waiting area. So we got to walk right back and get her all checked out. The nurse wasn't very reassuring. She was just saying, she doesn't look good at all.,(Thanks to grandma Wendi for pushing us to go the urgent care) bringing her in was the right call. They drew blood, got some urine, put the IV in, and took some tummy x-rays. That was not fun at all. Lots of tears were shed as we held her down. But I do have to say, Cody and I got a little giggle watching her get the tummy x-ray because of her facial expression. We wish we could have got a picture. It was priceless. She was all wrapped up in a papoos (i don't know how to spell that) type thing, with her arms stretched over her head and body completely straight, strapped to this contraption that you could spin in all the way around. And the machine was I'm sure a little frightening. The tech was saying at this one part all the babies get really quite, and very concerned, and that was the best part. That was pretty funny. It's one of those moments where you feel a little bad for laughing, but you know they aren't hurting, so it's ok to let out a chuckle or two! :) While we were getting all the tests done, they had called an ambulance over to take us to banner desert children's hospital. Not only cause they were closing, but cause there was nothing more they could do for her there. So we had our first ambulance ride. I was a little bummed I didn't get to ride in the back with her like you see on TV... but at least I had a open hole to the back . She was quiet the whole way over. We were put in the ER for a few hours, where she got her first ultrasound, and was so good. She slept through it all, and I was so glad, cause holy moly that took forever, and she was even the best patient you could ask for. They had to reprick her too, and I hated that. No fun at all... many more tears were shed.
It was about 2am when they came in to tell us they were going to admit her, but we just had to wait for a room to be ready. It was about 4 am when we got into our room. And I felt so much more at peace when we got all settled in. She was hooked up to monitors and knowledgeable people to look after her. And best of all, I can stay with her 24/7. They have a couch that pulls out two twins so we could both sleep here. It really is a great hospital. We have had a really good experience here. All our nurses, doctors and help are so nice and amazing. So attentive. We get to take Lexee on wagon rides everyday to give her something new to look at. Poor thing, she is such a trooper. She is doing really well for being sick and not being able to use her right hand (cause of the IV)... so anyway... she really likes her wagon rides. We have taken her around until she crashes. It's pretty funny. And every time we go around, we are always stopped to admire cute little Lexee, "the little gerber baby" ... she is a favorite here. :)
Well the Dr. came in and said we will be here another day. She threw up a little last night, but we are hoping it's just cause her tummy got really full, cause she is eating more now that her IV fluid was cut in half. So we are waiting on that diarrhea to get better and no barfing. We don't know what virus she has yet, and don't know if we ever will, but they are just treating her symptoms which is dehydration. If we leave before she stops pooping we could just end up back in here. It's amazing how fast they can go into severe dehydration. but anyway... I'll have some fun pictures to post when we get home. But as for now, This is what you get. :) Love you all! Thanks for you prayers and thoughts!

I'm glad that she seems to be doing better. I hope you get to go home soon!
Poor Lexee! I hope she gets better so you and her can come home.
Oh my gosh!! That is absolutely crazy! I know exactly what you are going through! We just went through the whole ordeal last month! I'm anxious to know what Lexee has! That's so terrible!! I too was bummed that I couldn't ride in the back of the ambulance like they do in the movies. We pay an arm and a leg for it! We should have the right!!:) And that x-ray contraption...isn't that the best? Ha! It totally made me laugh too. You feel so inappropriate laughing, but they look just so cute! The thing about babies in a hospital/ambulance setting, is it's as if they are just playing dress up or posing for an Ann Geddes picture. It doesn't seem real. But it is, and reality does hit, and it's scary stuff!! Sorry you are having to go through this and that you are still in the hospital! I enjoyed the hospital stay. It was like I was back in the labor in delivery room, but I wasn't the one in pain. :) It's a great time to just relax with your baby while everyone else takes care of you. Keep us posted on your crazy adventure! Love you!
We have been so so worried. I wish I could see her wagon rides! Please keep us updated- she is in our prayers.
